As part of our Getting Ready to Learn initiative, we have been focusing on Literacy this month. We have learned lots of new songs and rhymes, learning new topic vocabulary, listening carefully and following instructions and practising mark-making skills on paper, dough, and in the sand.
Every child has been given a folder home today, which contains lots of fun early- Literacy activities... and a book home to keep. Please continue reading stories to your child; throughout the day and at bedtime. We cannot stress enough the importance of reading in order to develop and consolidate your childs’ early Literacy skills. Have fun!
