A few weeks ago, we were given a tub of caterpillars to look after and watch them grow. They grew bigger and bigger, climbed up to the top of the tub….. and began to spin their cocoons! We were so excited and couldn’t wait for them to turn into butterflies, so we carefully put the cocoons into a special Butterfly net, and filled it with flowers, grasses and an orange ( in case they needed a drink when they hatched out).
Over a week went by and then finally, the beautiful butterflies emerged from their cocoons! We decided to let them out in our new Wildlife Garden and watched them fly away….
